Shailee Theatre will be holding the Third Children’s Theatre Festival from today onwards at the Russian Centre of Science & Culture, Kamal Pokhari. The festival also

 represents the theatre group’s third anniversary. The week-long festival will stage plays based on children’s issues. Eight plays in total have been scheduled, including two by Shailee Theatre itself.

Following the festival’s conclusion, awards for Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Play will be given out. “Our previous festivals have been successful and we hope it’s the same this time,” says festival coordinator Kedar Shrestha. Shailee Theatre is organising this festival to help raise interest and awareness regarding theatre among the younger generation.
